These are my Macarnons. Cute as a button, but a pain in the ass to make ๐Ÿ˜‚. For an assignment we had to revamp the macaron and since my boyfriend is allergic to nuts I thought I'd try what the internet said was impossible: substituting the almond flour. So I made my own flour from sunflowerseeds (or as I'd like to call it: sunflour) and got to baking. First time they worked out perfectly, the next 3 times not so much. But the last batch was good enough to represent macarnons at my presentation today ๐Ÿ˜‹. These are filled with an orange and cinnamon Swiss Meringue Buttercream, one of my most favorite combinations. Swiss Meringue is the best buttercream to me by the way. I have been looking forward all week to today, because I planned on making a stack of fluffy pancakes. They worked out amazing, stupidly enough I just cook and don't really follow or write down recipes, so I have no clue of the measurements ๐Ÿ˜… This Sunday started out great at @eindhovengym. I forgot my workout leggings, but my skinny jeans were stretchy enough to follow the fundamentals class. And today I have done my first deadlifts ever, so cool! For the rest of the day I have to draw some recipe concepts and get the house together. Easy peasy pasta salad (had to do that ๐Ÿ˜‚) Haven't been active for a while, so hi ๐Ÿ˜Š. Hope you've all had fabulous holidays. This is just a quick little lunch I made for 2 days. Lettuce, pasta, chorizo, peas, lemon, pesto, yoghurt and some pine nuts. The chorizo gives some bold flavour and because bites without chorizo should taste good too, I added some pesto. The freshness of the lemon and yoghurt cut through the fattyness, making it more balanced. Breakfast& planning. I love to finally have a weekday where I can have breakfast in daylight ๐Ÿ™Œ. Today I'm having protein oats made with Rude Health porridge oats (5 grain, 5 seed) and Personal protein powder (Whey). Topped with an apple and berry bake and sunflower seeds, yumm! Every week I make a planning on paper to get some sort or overview of what is going on. My schedule changes every week, so otherwise I lose track. I think in school I'm even known as the "planner girl" ๐Ÿ˜‚. This week I'm preparing a presentation, re-inventing macarons and having a selfcare day. Can you guess what this is based on? I have this supercool course where we have to redesign dishes. This was my adjusted Huzarensalade! For if you don't know it, I'd describe the normal version as goo. Just google it. My version consists of brunoise potato, boiled for 7 minutes. Dressed in a little yoghurt and mayonaise. Slowly cooked ham, pulled into strips. Sunshine and tea make for a lovely Monday morning โ˜€ I am lucky for having some time off this morning to get myself ready for a superbusy week. So I decided to get some lovely tea at @thehappinesscafe, travel to Den Bosch and sit on a bench to soak up some sun. This week I just have load of stuff to do for school. Tomorrrow we are making Gouda Cheese, I have to do some interviews, research for a project and I'm re-inventing a dish.
